Chiropractic Adjustments
A chiropractic adjustment can make you feel so much better. Your body does not want to be out of alignment, and that’s exactly what an adjustment can help address. It is also known as chiropractic manipulation, manual manipulation, or spinal manipulation. The adjustment refers to the manipulation of the vertebrae that have abnormal movements and are not functioning properly. A chiropractic adjustment will assist in fixing these issues.
The goal of chiropractic treatment is to reduce the subluxation, increase the range of motion, reduce nerve irritability, and improve mobility. Our compassionate and qualified chiropractor will work with you to relieve this pain and get you back to being pain free every single day.
Although many people visit their chiropractor and have an adjustment when something feels out of alignment, a regular visit will help you avoid any pain in the future and will keep your body feeling great all day long.
If you are having one of those days when you are not in the best mood, an adjustment may actually help. Your body will feel much better, which will naturally improve your mood.

Corrective Exercises
Corrective exercises are the use of bodily movements and/or postures to restore desirable changes in diseased or injured tissues. The corrective exercises are movement strategies that minimize or eliminate compensation. Corrective exercises should precede more integrated exercises, because they can cue the patient’s motor system to respond in a more desirable way and assist in removing or improving biomechanical constraints.

Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person’s health and well-being. There are many types of massage therapy methods (also called modalities). People seek massage therapy for a variety of reasons; for example, to reduce stress and anxiety, to relax muscles, to rehabilitate injuries, to reduce pain and to promote overall health and wellness.

Spinal Screenings
Sometimes all that stands between your daily pain and a happier, healthier you, is a chiropractic adjustment. Your body naturally wants to be in alignment, and our daily activities can throw what is naturally aligned out of balance. Also known as chiropractic manipulation, manual manipulation, or spinal manipulation, chiropractic adjustment refers to the manipulation of the vertebrae that have abnormal movements and are not functioning properly. Here at SR Healthcare, we can help you achieve balance and proper alignment, giving you relief and improving your health.
Our goal in treating your joint and spinal issues is to reduce subluxation, increase range of motion, reduce nerve irritability, and improve mobility. Our highly skilled chiropractor will work with you to relieve your pain and get you back to living a pain free and healthy lifestyle.

Leg Pain
The leg is a complexion region of the body composed of the hip joint, bones, tendons, ligaments, and muscles. The hip joint is one of the most mobile and frequently used joints of the body, and as such the leg can be a great source of pain for many.
Many people experience leg pain that has developed over time. This pain can range from slight discomfort, dull ache to a stabbing sensation, or complete immobilization.
The actual source of leg pain can be difficult to self-diagnose unless you have an obvious injury or direct trauma. There can be numerous sources that can cause mysterious aches and pains in the leg including vertebral misalignments, arthritis, tears to tendons or ligaments, cramps, or muscle strain. Nerve irritation or damage is another source of pain as nerves provide feeling throughout the entire body and if inflamed or irritated can result in pain. Much to the surprise of many patients, injuries or misalignments along the spine can create a sensation of pain anywhere along the entire length of the leg.
Many people often experience leg pain that has developed over time. Though medication can block the pain temporarily, it does not address the source. Our team is trained and experienced in treating issues related to leg pain. We will conduct a thorough medical examination that includes your medical history as well as any additional tests needed to determine the source. After a confirmed diagnosis, we will work with you to provide the best treatment plan for your needs and lifestyle.
If you’re experiencing persistent leg pain, you shouldn’t spend another day in pain. Please contact our office at (915) 790-3471.

Physical Rehabilitation
Here at SR Healthcare, we do not chase pain. It is important to understand that oftentimes where the pain presents is not the area that needs to be treated. The pain may be due to that area compensating and being over-worked from another area not pulling its weight. Our rehabilitation program includes strength, flexibility and agility training as well as training focused on coordination of body parts and motion to prepare the individual to return to full participation.
This comprehensive and consistent approach works to retrain muscles, restore joint function, and prevent recurring injuries and doctor visits. Additionally, we will equip our patients with innovative techniques for maintaining proper posture, improving lifting mechanics or workouts, and determining “Do’s and Don’ts” related to certain jobs or daily activities. The effectiveness of this treatment protocol depends on the patient’s commitment to their therapeutic exercises and following the doctor’s recommendations. Improving the patient’s function, as opposed to simply managing the symptoms, can have a significant impact on injury reduction. Chiropractic adjustments make people feel better, but appropriate rehabilitation is essential for long-term positive outcomes.

Spinal Manipulation & Adjustment
Spinal adjustments (spinal manipulation): Spinal adjustments free restricted movement of the spine and help restore misaligned vertebrae to their proper position. Adjustments also help reduce nerve irritability responsible for causing inflammation, muscle spasms, pain and other symptoms related to sciatica. Spinal manipulation is proven to be safe, effective and pain-free. This type of therapy sets chiropractors apart in the medical community.

Scoliosis
When detected early, scoliosis can be managed and treated to prevent the problem from getting worse. With scoliosis, the spine has abnormal curvatures to the side or even twists. Most cases of scoliosis appear for unknown reasons as scoliosis tends to develop before puberty in adolescence, in children who previously had no spine issues.
Many cases of scoliosis do not require surgery or extensive treatment, but if the curvature becomes more severe, medical intervention may be needed. Scoliosis appears equally in boys and girls, but typically girls are more likely to develop significant curvature that warrants treatment.
From ages six to eight, parents should regularly check your child’s spine for any indications of scoliosis. During annual check-ups, the doctor will most likely screen for scoliosis. Even some school districts have required nurses and sports coaches to do quick scoliosis examinations for their students to help identify the problem before it gets worse.
Common signs of scoliosis include:
- A spine that curves too much to the left or right
- One shoulder that appears lower than the other
- Having a rounded shoulder
- Having an uneven or sunken chest shape
- One leg appears shorter than the other
Most people with scoliosis are unaware that they have it as it is not severe or painful enough to affect their daily lives. For more extreme cases of scoliosis, there are a few treatment options that our chiropractor may suggest such as wearing a back brace, improved posture exercises, and physical therapy and stretching to help align the spine.
There is no cure for scoliosis, but if left untreated, scoliosis can cause additional issues into adulthood such as back pain, numbness or tingling in your legs, fatigue, and breathing problems. Luckily, braces and back strengthening exercises typically ease any discomfort the patient may be experiencing and strengthen the back muscles to alleviate pain and support healthier spin alignment.
If you or your child are experiencing the symptoms mentioned above or are suffering from scoliosis, call us today at (915) 790-3471 to request your appointment at SR Healthcare.
